Paul Tan Chief Operating Officer Capital Asia Group - Singapore

Paul Tan has assisted Capital Asia Group to establish its marketing presence in Asia. Since his entrance into CAG in 2009, he has signed numerous affiliates, including one of the largest property agencies in Singapore, with over 7000 agents. He is the main creator and key presenter to CAG’s seminar, drawing audiences of more than 200 each time. Before joining CAG, he worked for a renowned Land investment firm whose portfolio worth was in excess of $1 billion.

 

Audrey Tan Operations Director, Capital Asia Group - Singapore

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UK, she has several years of experience in the design industry. Prior to joining CAG, Audrey served for 13 years in Philips Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd in the consumer electronics sector in various capacities - designer, project/accounts management and large operations portfolio. She is responsible for CAPITAL ASIA GROUP’S operations, marketing, advertisement and branding directions.

 

Gary Tan Vice-President Training, Capital Asia Group - Singapore

Since 1993, he has been active in sales in electronics industry. In 2000, he joined a large leading conglomerate as sales consultant and was entrusted with the responsibility as a Trainer and Coach in all aspects of Sales, Product Knowledge and Marketing. To date, he has trained close to 1,000 people in Singapore and in the Asia Pacific Region.

Melvin has over 12 years of management and operations experience. His responsibilities as Director include leading all aspects of Capital Asia Group (HK) planning and development of operations. He has oversight of all corporate functions.

Prior to joining CAG, Melvin was CEO of Exmore Marketing (HK) where he successfully opened over 300 marketing channels in HK, garnering millions of dollars worth of sales per year for the company. He held the fort for 6 years before venturing into the mainland market and European market for the next 6 years.

 

Alfred Lau VP Business Development, Capital Asia Group - Hong Kong

Alfred graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic and after 3 years in the technology industry, he was geared with the passion for sales and marketing related industry. Having acquired over 18 years of experience and knowledge in the Sales industry, Alfred possesses strong negotiation skills as well as maturity of thought. Sunny Tsang joined Capital Asia Group (HK) Ltd in 2011 as a Director of CRM.

Prior to this position, he was the Vice President of a listed company in US (OTCBB), whose operation is based in Hong Kong. He was responsible for the daily operations of the company and regular filing of reports to the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Sunny has more than 5 years of experience in the financial industry as a financial planner, and he was a licensed representative registered in the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.

Sunny received his Bachelor’s Degree in Translation in the Baptist University of Hong Kong in 1996.

 

Kevin Soo Director of Communication, Capital Asia Group - Hong Kong

Kevin Soo joined Capital Asia Group (HK) Ltd in January 2010 as Director of Communication.

He is a Media and Marketing professional with a long and industrious career in the local market, working for big brands and on both sides of the business, as advertiser and as agency. Kevin was the marketing manager of Olympic Star HK in 2003 for a series of FMCG in Hong Kong, Macau and China. Prior to that, he was in the field of advertising and media for almost 8 years. Kevin began his career in advertising in 1995 as Account Executive with America Advertising HK with Sony Corporation and, Bank of China as his corporate clients. In 1997, he joined United News & Media UK as a regional sales & marketing manager for several well-known international publications and exhibitions.

Kevin holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management major in Marketing from University of Sunderland, UK. He is the member of Charter Institute of Marketing.

 

Ivan Wong VP Training & Development, Capital Asia Group - Hong Kong

A veteran in the real estate industry in HK since 1996, Ivan joined a leading company in the land banking industry in 2002 as a sales consultant and was entrusted with the responsibility of Trainer in all aspects of Sales, Product Knowledge and Marketing.

In 2008, the professionalism in training was extended to various educational and financial institutes in Hong Kong, such as Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, School of Continue Education and other financial institutions. In 2009, the professionalism was further expanded to various commercial associations and enterprises in China.

In 2011, Capital Asia Group successfully recruited Ivan to participate in the sales training of the company. Peter Sim Managing Member, Capital Asia Group - New York

As an international tax attorney fully licensed in New York, Mr Peter Sim’s experience spans international tax, tax free mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations and developing the best strategies for international investments. Peter Sim’s legal, international tax, estate planning, financial and commercial experience uniquely positions him for all aspects of investment analysis and investment management.

During the course of his career, Peter Sim has represented some of the largest Fortune 500 companies with their investment and tax issues. Peter Sim was part of the legal team that was considered the number one practice group for U.S.-Japan tax matters.

Peter has structured tax efficient real estate investment structures for Asian investors who purchase significant real estate properties in the US as well as US companies purchasing real estate assets globally. Peter has also represented the largest REIT investor in the world acquire various assets on a worldwide basis while ensuring their investment received the greatest tax benefits and protection. In addition, Peter has created investment structures for Asian clients investing in the US to ensure they avoid the harsh holding company rules under the US tax code.

Peter directly invested and arranged equity investments into a variety of land development projects with total project costs in excess of US 15 billion. He has also developed and implemented a variety of cross-border leasing transactions based on tax arbitrage between title states and beneficial ownership states with a total dollar values in excess of US 4 billion.

Peter Sim acted as a consultant and advisor for a wide variety of investment and development projects including the acquisition of various companies worldwide. He also advised various companies on how to obtain tax holidays, grant aids and concessions from various tax authorities.

 

Stanley Chiu Managing Member, Capital Asia Group - New York

Mr Stanley Chiu has been active in investment strategies since 1998. During the course of his career, Stanley Chiu created and managed the real estate group at XE Capital Management, LLC (“XE”). As creator and manager of the group, Stanley Chiu invested over US $450m across all real estate classes covering US $3 billion in project costs. At XE, Stanley Chiu also led the structuring and restructuring of equity and debt of all US real estate investments to re ect market conditions. In addition, Stanley developed joint ventures, one-off transactions as well as investment and operational structures for Chinese real estate. Stanley Chiu was also the team leader in the development of a distressed real estate/debt private equity fund and on the board of directors of XE’s India fund.

Besides real estate, Stanley Chiu also co-managed the origination and due diligence of XE’s initial investment into premium financing, which financed over US $445m worth of premium financing loans with policy face values in excess of US $5 billion. Stanley Chiu was instrumental in XE’s sale of a multi-billion dollar premium financing portfolio to a Belgian investment bank in the fourth quarter of 2006 which resulted in a IRR of 35% for its investors.

Prior to joining XE, Mr. Chiu worked at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for product development, analysis and implementation of Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage and Equity Finance products with Goldman Sachs' Global Security Services Group.

Stanley Chiu has also acted as consultant to a hedge funds, private equity funds, a publicly listed real estate company and a US fund manager on the restructuring and repositioning of their current real estate portfolios as well as acquisitions of new real estate in the United States and Asia.
